Swiatek in Third Straight Roland Garros Final

Iga Swiatek (1st WTA) defeated Coco Gauff (3rd) 6-2, 6-4 to reach her third consecutive Roland Garros final.

Swiatek dominated the match, only facing a brief challenge after an argument between Gauff and the chair umpire.

Swiatek has a streak of 20 consecutive victories at Roland Garros, matching Steffi Graf and trailing only Chris Evert (29), Monica Seles (25), and Justine Henin (24).

Swiatek, born in Warsaw, has won the Roland Garros title in 2020, 2022, and 2023.

Swiatek is a top contender for the upcoming Olympic Games, set to be held at the same venue.

Despite her defeat, Gauff will become No. 2 in the WTA rankings, displacing Aryna Sabalenka.
